On the rear arm drawing, there is a part (actually two of them) called Arm 1. Some refer to them as dog bones. They are the links that connect bottom of the suspension assembly to the rear arm.

I've suspected that the links that came with the bike when I bought it used are a little long (lowering the bike), but I can't find what the stock length is.

I looked in a bunch of places for this info. Even found a part number. (Arm 1 is 5JW-2217M-00-00.) But I cannot figure out how long the stock dog bones are on a 2005 FJR, or any other FJR for that matter. Little help?

I have one from an 08, it's a different part number, 3p6-2217m-00-00.

It measures 7 1/2 inches between the holes, center to center.

Since it's a metric bike, it's probably 165mm.
You're right Erik, or 16.5cm.

However, the OP is in the US of A and I didn't want to confuse him. They have a hard enough time with kilometers and degrees C!
