UK toe, foot guards, shields

Hello any "over the pond" riders,

Where can one get a pair of these? I see that some used police bikes in the UK have these installed. I have an '06 and these would be awesome for those chilly or wet days. I only see them from Yamaha of recent models. Must be aftermarket?

"Foot visors" (which is what Yamaha call them) are standard OEM accessories for Gen 2 and Gen 3/4, colour coded, should be available through your local friendly Yamaha dealer.

Fitted them to my 2014 (came as part of a buying deal). Some protection, but I didn't like them, took them off.

perhaps you mean "foot Shields"? I only see available for Gen 3 from Yamaha

Those are for Gen 3/4, OP has Gen 2. Won't fit.

Is there any chance that they would also shield engine heat from the feet as well? Probably wishful thinking.

Here's Yamaha part # 5VSW07456100 FOOT SHIELD for gen 2. I have a set I may sell. They were Euro 07 gold color and I had them painted US 07 black cherry. They are both a little scraped from aggresive cornering but they can be sanded and painted. Email me for pics to  [email protected]
