When I went shopping for official Yamaha accessories, the photo for the Yamanaha ergonomic seat appears to be of the Corbin Dual sport. Are they one and the same?

If so, I can get the Yamaha seat for $250 +S&H while the Corbin is $380. Are they the same?

Also Yamaha tall windshield (listed as 4+2) is about $80 + S&H. Is it really 4+2?

Any real world experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Yamaha ergo seat is made by Corbin and accepts the Corbin style backrest as well. With an orginal Corbin, you have color and material options that you do not have with Yamaha.

I called Corbin about this and they confirmed they make the seats. I'd go for it. that's $130 off list.

They're probably (possibly) looking at making the smugler for the FJR.
Well..if that's the case, I may pop them a line. I'm in Seattle, but I'm going on a car vacation with the wife and doggies the last two weeks of September. I could certainly detour and ride my bike down there.

but..it would probably be better if one of you NoCal folks popped by...
