Anyone have instructions on best way to install the J & M cb radio on the FJR. I am sure there has to be some wisdom on the subject in these pages but I have been unsuccessful in my search

Make sure to grab the power from the tail light. You will have less sound gremlins there than anywhere. I have installed several of these on different bikes, good units.
Funny part is how many I have installed in BG, grew up there! Love the area and miss the riding like crazy... who are you?

any particular way to access that power close to unit or just run wire from the tail light area?

Don't know if this thread will help, but it is about Gen2 bikes and the lighting wires at the aft end of the scooter. On second thought, perhaps this one would be more useful.
