Looks like this little 350 mi Thursday ride from Camp Verde to Silver City via 260 & 180 has gained some interest. So let's firm it up:
WHEN: Meet up between 8:30 and 9:30 with full tanks and a java infusion. KSU at 9:00

WHERE: Camp Verde at Starbucks Coffee, 1620 W. State Route 260 off I-17

Top off and stretch in Lakeside (160 mi)

Finish up in Silver City (190 mi) in time for check-in

I will be running RD, just in case. Let's have a good time.

PM me for cell #
BUMP reminder! for those who are viewing this for the first time and the route:

Due to the recent new BeemerDon's meet up in Payson developments, the meet up at Camp Verde will still happen but KSU will be at 9:00 instead. There will be a larger contingent of bikes in tow and especially the slower beemer type. Let the good times roll.

09:00hrs KSU Sounds good to me. I told Cometman that those of us that call AZ home work around the heat by staying high in elevation, because heat is a factor during much of the year.

"Silver City, Pinos Altos, Gila Cliff Dwellings and local special events are NOT being impacted by the Signal Fire." The fire is 35% contained and they hope to put it out soon!

Here is a little nostalgia from the 2010 SW-FOG event. The rally was held in the world renowned town of TOAS, NM

Who in this group will show up this time?

Let’s hear it for the ladies who put up with our shenanigans.

This is a real keeper, one of kind.

And my plaque. Thank you Bustanut Joker. At least, the professor got the spelling right and the speed limit couldn't be more appropriate.

Wow, didn't know Zilla was that tall and handsome.
FIFY. You're welcome.
Yes, and bigger than life. The stories told does not do it justice and I have the proof. I do not share the memories of those but you will need to come to see for yourself.

Here is another story along the way, me with the ex-miss Sprint cup Ms Page.

Bloody HELL! Could you warn a brother when you're gonna show Canadian legs? My retinas are burned, thankyouverymuch!

Holy Shit...I swear to Zeus I thought Bungie had old man white knee socks on. I didn't realize that was him until OM circled those legs. WTF man??

Oh, and Patch and I had to be the life if the party. 95% of those guys are old enough to be our dad. AND we have a shit ton of fun with you fellers!

My Fine FJR Forum Friends, there are two major items in this photo that must be pointed out: 1) Have you ever noticed you cannot separate Patch308 and GalaxyBlue with an abalone iron, The Jaws of Life or C4 explosives. Have you ever seen a photograph of Bluestreek or Bungie where they respectively ARE NOT playing pocket pool and pocket hockey, a Pair of Perverts eh! jes' sayin' and nuff said, eh!

Wow, didn't know Zilla was that tall.
Yes, and if you notice in the photo, both AJ and his brother stand out above the crowd. They are our party favorites. JSNS

WTF

The food is great too. Just ask Don.
Es Verdad mi Hermano Eduardo, my first mission at Silver City will be to scout out good places to eat. We don't want to send a skinny guy like you on that job, trust Papa Chuy! jes' sayin' and nuff said, ese!

Don, if one were to click on the SW-FOG sign-up page, the Dinner tab proclaims the following:

SW-FOG Dinner

NMRoadRunner is interested in furnishing BBQ for one of the evening meals...it should probably be mentioned that he and his riding partner/wife cook competition BBQ on the KCBS circuit and do catering on the side as well.

More details to come...

Well, coming in another 12 days we will be on the road to SC. This sounds like a disorganized cluster-f--k.

Who is in charge of the meal planning? And another thing, if I were standing next to you, I would look skinny.

I think Bud had to scratch that BBQ plan. Sounds like there was a death in the family and he's not sure if he can make it at all. I'm pretty sure we can all figure out a place to eat in cliques or as a group. Silver City is very cosmopolitan.

Sorry to hear that news. I remember them from 2010 SW-FOG and they are a great couple.

Okay now, I did some checking for good dinner grub and The Jalisco Cafe at 100 S Bullard St, Silver City for great New Mexico style Mexican food was highly recommended for large groups but reservations must be made soon for a head count. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g60831-d511980-Reviews-The_Jalisco_Cafe-Silver_City_New_Mexico.html

There are other options but ... this could be a start.
