FJR Mileage Milestones

Can I include Wabs miles here, or strictly Fjr only club? :huh:

I vote FJR only. To me, the value of this thread is not necessarily for people to brag about how many miles they've put on, but rather to show how many of these bikes can reach these high milages. I know this kind of information was invaluable to me when I was first looking at the FJR thinking anything over 10-20k on a bike was really high miles and to keep looking.

I think it is more. When you reach 100,000 on one FJR, and doing this all by yourself produces a special feeling. It is a special accomplishment, not only by you but also by the bike. You do this together and that is what this thread is about.

All other reasons for this thread are secondary. Others may say this better than me and I hope they do.

Unless you have done the 100K, you can only imagine the feeling. As noted above, 10-20K seamed to be high mileage on a bike, 100K is not only high but unusual. Kudo's ( KUDOS is "Respect and recognition" ) to all that make the 100K and more.

Now wait a minute. I did well over a 100K miles, but I did them on FOUR different FJR's...I know, I know...that doesn't count to display 100K mile logo of accomplishment. But I do qualify to have ridden those miles all by my self, and I don't realy get that special feeling of accomplishment. But, I did have a lot of fun...

I think the fun is all that counts. You just keep buying them new bikes so you never get to see the 100k on the odo...but I know you have ridden that 100k miles and more.

I've got two more FJRs in the garage, both 2002 bikes, one with 60,000 on her clocks the other with 50,000, both still going strong. Could bring myself to sell one, they get under your skin and I couldn't trust anyone else to care for them.

Look who is talking about having a sickness...owning four FJR's at the same time. At least I could go on from GenI's :blink: not like you, stuck in a 2004/GenI, rut... You don't know what your missing. BTW, my wife thinks I'm sick too. :lol:

Hey now! No need to go spreading rumors and lies! I have only owned THREE FJRs at the same time, #1 being gone before #3 and #4 were added.

And can I help it if I am wiser beyond my years and know that the finest vintage of FJR is 2004? You my poor friend, can't figure out what you want! At least you know a good woman when you find one. Always getting a new one of those is a much more expensive and stressful kind of deal.

Coming home from the IBANational the ODO rolled 200,000 km just before I crossed over into Canada at Sault Ste Marie.

That puts me at 125,000 miles (Original owner).

Good job Colin! I'm still shooting for a 160KM for the end of the season. Sitting at 146KM right now. Got a trip planned to NC for EOM in a few weeks. That outta be good for another 5K. It's gonna be close!

Not sure what the significance is, but I surpassed 36,000 miles (ridden in 2012) by pulling into Deal's Gap M/C "Resort". After all the slabbin' I've done this year it was a nice treat to spent half a day in the Appalacians. I think this will be a 50k summer if my AMEX keeps giving me gas and tires keep showing up to the door.

Rallies: MD2020, MM1k, MN1k, ButtLite VI9, Void (coming soon to a theater near you).

It's a Coralife aquarium thermometer, less than 10 bucks! Weather proof, I have one on my Katoom also. I have seen 19.5 f while riding :huh:
