Looks like the battery side cover.

    The pool represents Arizona.. before

I have two aunts who live on the Jersey shore. One of them has lost her home and the lot on which it sat. We have been unable to locate the other one so far. We hope she has just taken refuge with some friends. I know no malice was intended. But, it's hard to see people making this a...

sea foam vs. lucas vs. STP vs. et al

I use about 1/3 can of BG44K in a full tank of gas every 4000 miles. When I've burned through the tank, I do the 4000 mile service and add a TBS to the process. At 56,000 miles the engine runs smooth and strong. While YMMV, it is another data point.

Questions after doing rear tire/brake, lube splines, shifter pivot, etc.

Quote FordBoy33: 3.I followed the suggestion to torque the acorn nuts securing the pumpkin to the swing arm after installing the wheel. I may not do that again next time, as it was much harder to torque those nuts with the wheel in place. The top inside nut was darn near impossible to get...

    Power Commander map resolution

Here's a kind of ubiquitous cure you can try. Reconnect the USB cable to the PC - push really hard on the cable until you feel a definite click as it locks into place. Then try to load your map again. That connection, when it's not pushed all the way in, usually causes a total lack of...

Why install brake pads as a set?

Quote Constant Mesh: I'm unsure why it's necessary to replace them in pairs? My guess: The rationale is to make sure the material is compatible between inner and outer pads, the reason is the seller makes more money when you buy pairs. Since they clearly wear at different rates, it can't be...

    Northern New England RTE places

Quote FredW: I can't find a North Country Diner in Bradford, VT, Dan Fred, It's on the other side of the Mobil station from the Hungry Bear (same building as the Mobil). You find it when you arrive at the Hungry Bear before they open. Good diner breakfast, and not too expensive. Was just...

Hazards in the Road - Southern New Hampshire

I saw noone around either area. There were houses close to both items. So, it wasn't like this was a setup in a remote area to waylay someone. My inclination is that it is probably kids who are old enough to drive and somehow think this is funny. The two items were similar, but not...

Hazards in the Road - Southern New Hampshire

This post is a warning for those folks who live/ride in the Manchester, NH area. But, it's a cautionary note as a reminder to all of us. Last year, I was riding a back road near my home. Rounding a corner, I came upon a cluster of leaves in the road (like the tip of an oak branch that breaks...

    Sill Running Like Crap!

Makes perfect sense on S6 and the lights. S7 and S8 ground through S6 to S4. Someplace there is a diagram that shows the relationship between the spiders. The crappy running may very well been a portion of the same grounding problems. Fortunately, I think what you did takes care of the...

Regardless of how many times these have appeared, they are both beautiful pieces of work and I am happy to see them.

    Windshield Rubber

Ross, As a last resort, you can just remove it. Mine has been gone for two years and the bike doesn't seem to be the worse for wear. With the nose cone off, it'll be easier to work on and is worth a try to reattach. If it comes loose again, an Exacto knife allows you to remove it through the...

    Sill Running Like Crap!

Ross, After I installed the Brodie harness, following my second spider bite (after which the dealership replaced the main harness), I tried to post up a description of the changes I saw in various elements of the electrical system of the bike. That thread got buried in the multi-page spider...

    Mileage on pr2

I would say you're doing well at 11,000 miles. You will probably notice an improvement in handling when you put the new tire on. Somewhat depends on the condition of your front tire.
