Congrats and thanks for the report. Sounds like you're hooked on this LD madness. Yes, heated gear makes cold weather rides so much more pleasant. Nice to see Mr. Boge, he seems to show up where you don't expect him.
+1. And they meet IBR requirements (there were at least 3 in this year's rally). Linda T makes a nice cover for 'em too. I've got 10's of thousands of miles on mine with no issues.
I've worn 'Stich Darian, and most recently AD1's, in horrendously wet conditions for days at a time and either has yet to leak a drop. I'm a proponent of wearing waterproof gear so I don't have to stop to put on liners/toggs/etc.
I'd say most of it has faded. Hard to get a good pic but this is what mine look like after 6 months, 20k miles:
New, they matched the bike color well. Now, not so well. Of interest, the area under the adjuster...the "anodizing" there is completely worn off...but it's not a moving part or...
When you're putting everything back together, install bolt #3 with the nut on outside of the brake arm. The next time you take it apart it'll be much easier to get a wrench on that nut. You'll see what I mean when you take it apart.
