    Cracked fender 2013

    Anybody have their front fender break at the screws right in front of the fork tubes on each side? Is this a warranty issue? Thanks, Jim

    Brightness adjust

    When I adjust the brightness on readout screen (Gen III) does the text get brighter along with the background, or just background? In the sun I can't tell any difference. Jim

    Cruise limit fix

    Black wheels

    I forgot how quickly black wheels get dirty. I put 300 miles on 013 and back wheel is filthy. If I had my druthers, I will take unpainted aluminum. Am I alone on this? Jim

    So is it so that Yamaha wants us to accumulate some miles before using full synthetic oil in new bike, Or is this a myth? Jim

    TBS at 600 miles?

    Does the Gen III really need a tbs at 600 mi.? Seems to idle just fine. Jim

    Gen III headlight bulb replacement

    The owners manual says to have dealer replace headlight bulbs. Just wondering if anyone knows if it is more difficult than Gen II. I had the shroud off to add battery tender wire but did not think to look at access to bulbs. Thanks, Jim

    Miles on FJR

    I have 35K on my 06. I'm wondering if I keep this bike too long, will I lose a lot of value for trade in? At what miles will it no longer matter? Thanks, Jim

    Changing headlight bulb

    I need to change my left bulb. I read about difficulty, is this because they take off panels (ABCD) like the owners manual says, or is it because they have a way to change bulb without taking off panels? Thanks for comments Jim :rolleyes:

    dull plastic

    The clear coat back behind the rear seat on each side above tail lights are worn dull from straps (from my rear bag) flapping in the wind. I have tried cleaner/polish, and that doesn't do it. Any ideas on how to bring this area back to a shine? Thanks for any comments. Jim

    When I had my rear tire changed at Yam dealer, he said shaft spline lub is not on list of things to lubricate. The owners manual does not list it either. Any comments. Thanks, Jim

    My manual/ mechanic

    If I take my fjr to shop for some work, (say valve check) would it be proper to offer them my shop manual to follow? I know they don't have manuals for all the bikes they work on. I'm sure they can get any help they need online from Yamaha, but do they take the time to do it ? just wondering, Jim
