How will a drop of 80-100 pounds affect FJR handling?

Shiny, Good luck in your effort! I know it can be done and the health benefits are well worth the effort. I lost over 100 lbs [exact claim is lost due to the fact that the bathroom scale limit (300#) would wave as it passed]. I have keep it off for two+ years. My main recommendation is keep...

    Riding Boots - Custom

Here is custom boot maker I have used for both hunting and daily use. https://www.russellmoccasin.com/ The boots and my experiences with them have both been first rate! Their back log is typically a couple of months for the customs. They are not cheap. But my feet differ by almost a full...

Motorcycle Consumer News is in COLOR!

I'm a long time MCN sub'der too. But given the state of print business now-a-days and MCN's editors article on the colorization, I came away wondering if this was a last shot to stay alive. I hope they keep going, as the rest of the national MC & auto rags are not worth even toilet time use...

    GP Suspension Comment Thread

Sunday fork/shock/ride update; forks are still great/shock is getting closer. Morning ride was about 4 hours/130 miles and shorted due to cold [36 to 46°F] and snow blowing over the route :o I know the bike is handling much better and the rides sweep rider commented at the warming stop...

    altitude sickness

Central and North are at about average snow year to date [90 to 110%], so not likely at Cooper. One could take the beaters and ski St Marys or Loveland Pass [both are self serve/out of area skiing] in July. Southern water sheds are getting hit hard [125 to 200%] of normal, so maybe Wolf Creek...

    GP Suspension Comment Thread

Got the upgrade forks installed this past week. The Lord provided two warm days and got the snow off the roads [just the b-b like gravel to address], so time for a ride. Find gear, move snow blower and other winter stuff, then check over the bike again [two hours shot, but needed]. After...

    altitude sickness

drink lots of water [at least 3 liter per day for the travel in & first day]; Note: Water NOT Beer, those that have the issue are better in 24 hours with lots of water. It not so bad, just remember that for most visitors the prior water they have had in their lives was downhill from we...

    Is a wreck inevitable?

Yes. While we may control some of the conditions, we are not in control of the outcome. Each may ride or not as one see fit! Ride safe.
