My Kawasaki dealer got an '03 FJR in the shop (it was traded in for a new C14). It appears that after you shift gears (mostly 1st thru 4th), there's a clunking noise and it acts like the shaft drive is slipping. They've checked the drive and lube. It's fine.
Somewhere I read in a magazine about clutch plates that are worn or something like that. Any ideas?
They have the right side (trannie??) torn apart.
These are great guys and I hate to have them stuck with this problem.
Note: They aren't a Yamaha dealer.
