Sorry guys. I might have you mixed up. Whoever is crossing at the Peace Bridge, let's meet at Timmys on Garrison Road in Fort Erie ONT at 9am. Whoever is crossing at the Rainbow Bridge, meet us for breakfast - location TBD.

I think my plan will be to get to the Rainbow Bridge early. If you guys are meeting at 0900 that will give us time to dub around the falls a bit and then meet up with you there. I will probably plan to hit the bridge around 0900. Just let me know where you decide to meet in the area.

I'll be staging from Oakville, ON, pretty much right on the route Bill provided (as far as I can tell without a way to read his file.) Don't know how long it would be by Bill's route's only an hour from the Falls by slab so I imagine it would only be a couple hours. We could meet for a late lunch, or after lunch, or maybe I could even ride down and meet you at the border.</p></blockquote>

I haven't absolutely finalized my plans, but it looks like we will be at the falls probably mid morning(barring any delay crossing) and want to be heading out by around lunch time. If your schedule would allow you to meet us close to noon in Niagra or close by I will plan around it.</p></blockquote>

Based on the latest discussions, looks like noon might be a little late to be heading out. I'd suggest you stick with your plan to take the Rainbow Bridge to give you more time to spend at the falls before Mike and the others arrive from Fort Erie.

As long as I can deal with Lindsay Cycle before Thursday, I'll meet the group at Niagra Falls.

As you can see from the last post, I am targeting Rainbow Bridge at the time they are meeting in Ft. Erie. If I don't see you at the falls I'll see you at the rally.

That looks good to me. Making the Denny's at 0930 will depend entirely on the crossing. We want to make a stop for viewing and pictures at the falls too.

It's probably not bad for a Thurs (I hope!) and if you guys want Kodak moments it is actually within stones throw of the falls. If you didn't want to hoof it from the Denny's parking lot we take chances on spots/lots and of course the big lot right next to horseshoe is metered (at least last year when I was there it was).

So actually may be the best loca for double duty especially considering the falls-newbie freeze-framers.

Actually, that being the case We should meet you in Ft. Erie. I have a question, though. I am told by a co-worker that lived near the Peace bridge that it is backed up in the morning pretty bad and he recommended the Rainbow. Is that true? (I posed this question yesterday in the border crossing thread, but noone haas yet responded)

I just checked the wait times (Thursday, May 31 @ 9:05am) at the Peace Bridge and the site indicates no delays. Can't say that will be the same on June 20, but I don't think it should be a problem. Here's the site to check.

Different crowd in the am. for the 2 crossings.

PB has more thru traffic (mainly to the QEW) and lot's of commercial vehicles while RBB is more touristy n casino traffic and being the AM. kinda negates a lot of the last mentioned. So pick your poison, I'm thinking RBB for a quicker Thurs am crossing.

I know that most of the discussion has centered around the folks crossing at or near the falls, but as another option, there are a few of us NERDS who will be riding up through NY 'dacks on Wednesday, crossing at Ogdensburg-Prescott and staying that night at the Days Inn in Brockville, ON.

Then we have a nice rural route up to Huntsville from there provided by Rallymaster Fitter for Thursday. 300 miles and a bit over 6 hours of seat time should put us into CFR Central in mid-afternoon.

Anyone who will be traveling that way and wants to join us on either or both days is welcome to. Just PM me with an email address and I'll send you a copy of the route we'll be on.

After breakfast, a chance to take some photos of the Falls then ride the rest of the Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake, through wine country, under the Welland Canal and on some nice twisties to get us to Highway 20. From there, we will head towards Toronto on the back roads.

If there is a chance for us to meet up with any other riders in the Hamilton, Burlington, Toronto area around noon or so, let us know. It would be great to link up and complete the ride up to Huntville together.
