I discovered an issue with the mounts on my '08.
Fantastic images Good2Go!

Those clearances are too close to avoid touching at some point. I thought I had the worst case scenario with my vstream using the 1/4 spacer to tilt the screen back. My results were a bit more clearance, but not much.

The mirror mounting holes in the brackets are slightly larger than the mirror studs. You might try adjusting them my loosening up the 2 mirror nuts and then twisting them away from the screen before tightening them back down.

If anyone has a similar issue that cannot be easily resolved by the above process, I will find a way to make it right. The 2 options that come to mind are to have an arc cut in the bracket instead if the straight line, or I can grind out the area for clearance and repowder coat.

PS: Man those lights are nice, where did you source them from?
I admire your customer service commitment but wouldn't it be easier for the user to just trim (dremel, sander, etc...) the windshield a bit? 10 minutes = problem solved. I think you can't be expected to anticipate whatever aftermarket windshield and mounting method every user will come up with.
Thats probably what I'll have to do with the Cee Baily I just bought

Man-0-Man, those look awesome. Those brackets sure seem to be the Bee's Knees.
...and those lights, those look like a hundred bucks!! (each of course) ;-)

can't wait to get mine.
Uhhhh.....snippy?

Those be the REAL deal. Shame on you dissing his Solteks that way comparing them to the cheap-os. :finger:

Nice brackets Alex. I think I am going to try a set. My only concern is interference with my Rifle (w/tuning block) windscreen.
Thanks SkooterG. My next batch will be clearanced with an arc to allow more room for aftermarket changes. I will post up images of the slight change, but that should eliminate any concern of contact with the windscreen.

Does that mean there's a recall?????????????? ;)

If anyone wants the brackets with more clearance, yes, I will swap them out.

Here is an update with pictures that I also posted in the Light Group Buy section. If anyone missed out on RenoJohn's GB let me know. I can source them for $105 each locally. It isn't as good as RenoJohn's deal from Shanghi, but I can get them local and then ship with your brackets to save on shipping.

I've slightly modified the mounting bracket to allow more clearance between our screens. These new parts will be finished and powder coated the end of next week. I also have finally received in all the stainless hardware for the mounting and adjustments.

Here are a few pictures of the install on my 07. I will take some night light comparison shots hopefully tonight. It is truly amazing the transformation. I've read before that HID's are like carrying around your own sun. The original author might be stretching the true a bit, but not by much! B)

Wow, looks great Alex, your brackets sure seem to be perfect for these china lights, and the mounts could be used for damn near any light out there. Awesome stuff.

Looking forward to getting these on my bike, and sure appreciate you supplying them -there is no way we could be testing out the china lights without your custom fabrication.

Will the brackets (for the HID light adjustment) work with the Hella 4" HID's? They look close enough to the chinese lights (and have been said to be the same, just rebranded) to work and your brackets look like a much better adjuster than the plastic tooth type.

Not exactly. The Hella plastic was cast slightly different. The Hella will fit, however it will aim a bit too high without a small amount of elongating the aiming portion of my brackets. They are the same reflector and electronics otherwise.

There have been a few individuals that have contacted me for a pair of mount. I'm going to produce another group of mounts this weekend. I have the metal laser cut and tumbled already. I should be able to bend them up, weld and powder coat them this coming week.

Light mounts now available to order here: My link

Please email me you pictures of your various installations and I will add them to the images!

I just got back form the powder coaters. They will be able to run the brackets Wednesday or Thursday next week for me. I chose a flatter black since these will be quite a bit of abuse mounted to the front of our bikes. This is a very bad quality image from my cell phone of the mount.

These will run $55 a pair plus exact shipping via USPS priority box. This way I can provide you can track your shipment.
Hi Alex. Are you still making these? I would like to order a set. Please reply here or to my email... [email protected]. Thanks man!
