BACKFIREMOTO #69 is this WED. April 19th 2017
Backfiremoto #69 is this Wednesday the 19th of April 2017 4 pm on the corner of 17th Ave. NW and Leary Ave. NW.
A couple of things to mention this time ..... Firstly if you didn't make it out last month, we have a new participating venue in the former location of Hilliards. It is Lagunitas Brewing co. and they can't wait to meet you. They have a band playing every day at 4:20 pm and this Wednesday's band is " Shakey Bones ". And don't forget the other two official supporting venues The Shelter and The Bergschrund ( NW Peaks) . There will be food trucks at Lagunitas and next to the Lux (another participating venue). Bergschrund and Shelter also have a great food menu too.
ALSO: Backfiremoto would like to welcome the new C.C. Filson store to Ballard! They are excited to be part of the Ballard Community and are looking forward to meeting you.
The store is about a block and a half away from the backfire corner. They are located on the corner of Ballard Ave and Dock street. During Backfire ( 4-8 pm) they hope that you might stop by and see the new store and share a brew with them on the house. ALSO, make sure that you sign up for the free raffle for a Wool Blanket by Faribault Woolen Mill Co. As usual, the participating venues are SHELTER LOUNGE, The Bergschrund ( NW Peaks ), Lux , and Lagunitas Brewery ( formerly Hilliards) . The Bergschrund is featuring PIZZA and shelter lounge boasts killer Ahi Crisps! Lagunitas will be featuring live music, by Eric Miller. Please stop by the big red tent to pick up a copy of our FREE Motozine ( it's a small magazine ). Also, We will have a fresh selection of Backfiremoto trucker caps to help hide your "helmet hair". "Every October we try to play it by ear when deciding if we should have an October Backfiremoto . The main issue is the early sunset. Most of us get off work around five and a six o'clock sunset makes it hard for the working person to make it to Backfire before dark. To make matters worse, a giant cloud cometh that stretches from China all the way to Seattle "The Big Dark". With this evil cloud comes lots of rain and wind as well. Any way to make a long story short, tomorrow night looks pretty miserable. Sure, if you want to brave the storm, a few of us will be at The Shelter Lounge by the fire and at The Bergschrund having a brew and sharing motorcycle stories from this year.....What a great Summer it was!
