I had the 10 degree mounted on the left side of my '08, with an ADVrider light on the right side.  I wasn't overly impressed with the amount of road the Cyclops illuminated.

You need to mount them up high. If you mount them low down, they won't do you any good because you will end up just illuminating the road directly in front of the bike, and will not get any down range light at all.

Does anyone have any experience with Cyclops CIL-OPR110/20 and the Skene Dimmable controller?  I'm looking at adding some auxiliary lights to my bike and I like what I've found so far on these lights.  I'd like to mount these on the forks or disk brake mounts if possible.  Any info would be appreciated.

I will tell you that Darrel that owns Cyclops is a stand up guy.  I live close by his business and have been there several times.  He will always make sure his customers are happy.   There is another new light on his website.   You might want to check it out.  I included the link.  Call cyclops and ask for him if you want to talk to the lighting guru.

+1

Darrel and crew are exceptional on all fronts.  Contact him direct.  You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the tip about contacting Darryl at Cyclops. He is out of town right now but I got a note back from Brian.

My next question is has anyone mounted lights to the fender bolts that thread into the fork tubes? Or do you know any better ways to mount light to the fork tubes?

I mounted mine on the reflector bracket (removed the reflectors) by the fork tube. I fabricated a support piece from aluminum 1/2" stock from the reflector hole to the fender bolt behind the fork tube. Keep in mind, I have an ES model. I do not know if the A model fender is the same as the ES.
