Guys,

I have one of those irritating plastic fasteners on the inside

of my lower right fairing that I need to get out to finish installing

my Moko sliders on my '05.

I have tugged and tugged, but still can't get the stupid

thing out (I hate these things). Does anyone have any ideas?

It used to have a phillips head, but now it's just a little hole.

Should I just cut it off? (I have spares for both fasteners.)

Thanks for the quick reply, Radman...

EDIT

Okay, I got that irritating little fastener out, but I still need help

with the spacer/engine bolt washer issue...Use them or not, and

before or after the Moko spacer if used? Many thanks!

(Yes I did a search, but maybe someone that's better at it than me can

point me in the right direction.)

Thanks for any help... :unknw:

Phillips head type take a 1/4 twist of the center CCW while holding the outer ring stationary. This allows the center to pop out and then it just pulls out. If the center is gone, just push it through and out, and the fastner should then be able to be removed. As far as the washers, I don't know. I take it the instructions don't mention them, that being the case, some one who has done Mokos should be along shortly. I used a different brand, and it was so long ago I don't remember.

My copy of the instructions state: "The original washers are *NOT* reused"

This is also consistent with their diagram

I didn't use them. I measured the bolt hole depth just to make sure there was no danger of the bolts bottoming out without the washers.
