Um, what's in Stockton?
From Google re: Stagecoach X

Stagecoach X, Stockton, Alabama Saturday 30 December 2006

The Long Distance Motorcyclist's Place to Meet

Attendance has risen from about thirty riders at the initial Ride-In to over 600 in 2005.

Usually the parking lot is filling up by 10:00 am and empty by 3:00 pm. We do the awards presentations around noon.

Past Long Distance winners have ridden from places like Texas, California, Washington State, Delaware, and Nevada. It isn't unusual to have riders from twenty states and a couple of Canadian Provinces.

I do not think there is a web site this year and this year it is on the 29th.

One last reminder:

Stagecoach XI is set for Saturday, December 29th at the Stagecoach Café in

Stockton, Alabama around lunch time.

The annual “last ride of the year” will sorta break with tradition this year

since the Stagecoach restaurant is closed on Mondays, so meeting on Saturday

the 29th will still give you a couple of more days to ride before 2008.

As usual, the room situation is going to be iffy at best. We've worked out

a deal with the Day's Inn at Bay Minette to reserve a few rooms. If you want

a room, call the motel directly at (251)580-8111 and be sure to tell them

you are with the Stagecoach Ride-In as they are not taking reservations

otherwise. The rate is $63.00 plus tax. Even with a reservation, it will

be a wise move to call them just before you leave home to be sure the room

is actually available. Please work with them and be patient as they are

trying hard to help us keep the Ride-In at Stockton.

We will have plaques for the rider that rides the longest distance to the

event, the oldest rider that rides to the event, the oldest motorcycle

ridden to the event, and the youngest rider that rides to the event.

NOTE: Passengers will NOT be eligible to win the youngest rider award,

licensed riders only.

There is no website this year, so please let your local riding groups know

about it. Folks will be arriving during the morning and the parking lot is

usually empty by 2:00 PM. The food is good, the folks are friendly, and the

weather can be iffy. Some years it has been really cold, some years it has

been warm, but either way we hope to see y’all there.
