Maybe not the ultimate solution, but it works so far. All smoke still inside the boxes and wires. Well, except for when I shorted a wire and toasted a fuse, but that was me being a moron.
There's a bolt that goes into the airbox and the nut is a locknut. It's very snug and the other end of the fuse box is nominally held up by that huge positive cable (I inherited my propensity for overkill from my father), but really I could unscrew the cable and the box doesn't move.
I'm fairly pleased with how it came out and there's plent of room for future expansion. Not as pristine as some of the installs I've seen here to be sure, though.
