Indianapolis has long been the epicenter of American powersports - anyone with speed and horsepower on the brain has Indy on their radar, whether it's the "Brickyard," MotoGP or the world-renowned Indy 500. The Progressive® International Motorcycle Shows is now proud to be another landmark on the radar of Midwest motorsports enthusiasts, with the upcoming Indianapolis Motorcycle Show!

February 15-17, hundreds of brand new 2013 motorcycles will roll into the Indiana Convention Center, representing the latest and most advanced machinery on two-wheels from every major manufacturer in the world. Fans and enthusiasts alike are welcome to get up close and personal with this definitive collection of 2013 motorcycles (and even some 2014s), as well as experience everything else the Indianapolis Motorcycle Show has to offer.

In an exclusive to the Indianapolis market, the J&P Cycles Ultimate Custom Bike Show will culminate with the U.S. Championship being held throughout the weekend at the Indiana Convention Center. The premier-class "Ultimate Builder" winners from each stop of the nationwide Progressive® International Motorcycle Shows tour will compete for national honors in Indy, where only one bike and builder will be named America's finest. Get an all-access look at this season's beautiful contestants in Indy, and cast your vote for the best builder in the U.S.

Celebrity appearances, the world-class MotoGP Experience and the antics of the XDL Street Jam crew are only a taste of the action that the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows bring. The Indianapolis Motorcycle Show will also serve as a core shopping outlet for motorcycle enthusiasts everywhere, with exclusive one-time deals on everything from boots to helmets you won't find anywhere else.

"It makes perfect sense to bring the longest-running consumer powersports show series in the world to Indy, the motorsports capital of America," commented Progressive® International Motorcycle Shows Brand Director Tigra Tsujikawa. "The show will take place alongside the 2013 Dealer Expo and together the two events will create the ultimate two-wheeled weekend for motorcycle enthusiasts."

The Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Indianapolis will be open to the public Friday, February 15 through Sunday, February 17, at Indiana Convention Center, located at 100 South Capital Avenue, in Indianapolis. Show hours are Friday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 adults, $6 for children 6-11. I made it to the Indy show on the last day (Sunday 02/17/13). I was happy to get a look at some new bikes that hadn't made it to the showrooms yet, like the Honda CB1100 and the Honda 500's. I don't have a Triumph dealer anywhere close, so their lineup was great to see as well as the KTM street bikes. The only KTM dealer near me only caries their dirt bikes. I was a bit surprised Kawasaki wasn't there. I put my 11 year old daughter on my shoulders so she could see some of the stunt show, but I just saw the backs of people's heads. It took place on my birthday weekend, and that was my present. I enjoyed it. I had to make it up to the kids and let them shop a bit on Monday before we left town.
