Rear axle not going back together-what am i doing wrong

So, did you get it back together successfully?

Yup...she's good on the rear. Now I have the steering head bearings off. Look for a new thread soon

Well, I was gonna but the thorough step-by-step guide posted by someone here back in 2007 makes me think that it's not an easy job. I already have the steering shaft dropped enough to inspect the top and bottom and damn, they look great so I may just leave well enough alone. I only did that much because I am installin an MV Riser plate.
