Sounds good so far. When placing your lunch/dinner orders, how about ordering extra meals and swing back around to us campers for delivery. It would be greatly appreciated. :drinks:
You looking for dinners that can be consumed from a bottle...? Can do! :D

Red or white? Or flammable?
How about something smoked?

I was planning on stopping by to see/meet the campers but it sounds like you all will be riding all day. When will the campers be at camp? I live like 20 miles away from the campground. Hope you see/meet some of youins.

I'm sure we'll be at the camp site by 8 PM. Or, you could meet us for lunch and the rest of the ride.

If you want to call to check first, PM me for my phone number (I think there's cell reception - maybe not).

Maybe we could meet somewhere for dinner. That might be easier. You live in the area so you make pick a good place. Then we don't have to cook at the campsite. I will bring cigars and a bottle of Gentleman Jack. Someone is going to have to bring marshmallows and anything else you want to drink.

Whatcha think.

Neil that sounds like a fin ride but can you work old Julian highway into the route for me please? It looks like Lanny snoozed and now Neil is planning the ride.

Sure. I was waiting for input (guess I finally got some?) to see what folks wanted. We can start at Lake Hodges and 15, and skip Palomar.

I think the ride will be fairly short/quick compared to other rides. We will probably be done with lunch and heading into the campgroud around 1 or 2. You could meet us for lunch like Sante Fe Dreamin suggests. Maybe in Pine Valley? Know a good place in that area?

Hope you see/meet some of youins.
:D That makes me think I'm visiting the inlaws back in West Virginny... :D

I will talk with Sante Fe Dreamin and johhny80s this weekend and see if we can start making plans for this. Stay tuned...

OK, here's the latest info on the ride:

North West corner of Hwy 79 S and Hwy 15 in the de Winerswichel (spelling ?) parking area.
Meet and greet at 8:30AM

KSU 9 AM
This is at the southern edge of Temecula, where we met for the last two rides.

The route is still a mystery at this time, other than johhny80s wants to fit in Old Julian Highway from the east end of Ramona. The campground at the end of the ride is at the top of Mount Laguna.

If anyone wants to have a meeting spot somewhere to the south of Temecula, let us know and suggest a spot.

Hey Low Level Pilot (Dave), you back home now? Any interest in catching up with the gang?

Okay, thanks for letting me know what you all are doing that day. The closest place to the campground for dinner, is at 4000 ' in Pine Valley, Majors Coffee Shop/Restaurant. Campground is at about 6000'. About 20 minutes down the mountain. Other closest place would be at Cuyamaca Lake restaurant back the way you are all coming in to the campground I expect from Julian. Another 20 minute ride the other way.

Either place is not that great for food but acceptable. Another 20 minutes down to about 2000' is Viejas Casino (Interstate 8 West), and they have decent eateries like China Camp and one high end steak house and of course buffett craziness.

Let me know if any of these suggestions work for the FJR campers.........

Could you guys add me as a maybe for the day ride? I'm still trying to clear my schedule. Also, I'm planning on taking my eleven your old son unless there are objections.

Already have you down as a "maybe"; added your son. Can't see any objections to bringing along a youngun.

OK. We have 3 catagories:

1. Breakfast people

2. Riders only (no camping)

3. Riders who will be camping

When and where do the "riders who will be camping" meet?

If you are an engineer, you can appreciate this.
