Starcom1 Cuts out

I was having a similar problem when the squelch is set too low on the portable cobra radio, have you tried unplugging the Kenwood to eliminate it as the culprit? Also, repositioning the microphone a bit higher on the chinbar helped somewhat.

When I first got my Starcom, I had a bizarre issue that ended up being a manufacturer's defect in one of the headsets (apparently some were wired incorrectly). I promptly called Jeff at SportBikeEffects, where I bought it, and he immediately identified the problem, and was incredible to deal with. He replaced the headset, and all is good in the world again!
