1) Oil and filter change. 1st one for me on the FJR and easy peasey.

2) Air filter change. First one for me on the FJR and damned it can get fussy.

3) Brought the coolant level to spec in the reserve tank.

4) Installed the reflective side case decals. That also had it's fussy moments but in the end they are on. Generally not as dark overall as I expected. Directly over them they look great but as a general view they appear a bit brownish gray because of how their reflectivity starts but as a practical matter I think they are just awesome. Could be a lifesaver.

5) Installed my Cobra heat shields.

6) Installed my stem nut mounted Techmount.

7) Adjusted the side case lid angle.

8) Installed the Yamaha Touring screen as a trial in place of the Cee Bailey's +4+2 flip that was on there.

l. New set of PR3s; got 10K from the Pirelli Angels, I'm happy with that.

2. Finished engine oil, filter, rear drive oil change.

3. Rode up to Redding for my new Rick Mayer seat. Money well spent.

My silver bullet now has 16K on her in 10 months. I'm still on my honeymoon! :)

Just finished disconnecting my Power Commander III EX. After two years I was tired of the poor gas mileage and fiddling with fuel maps without any ability to affect the low rpm/throttle opening mapping (due to the inabily to change the settings in these areas on th EX). Finally decided to eliminate the PC III EX rather than install zero maps.

There are probably a lot of things folks do to their FJRs that may not warrant a whole new topic. This thread is a place to post such things.

I'm kind of surprised there isn't already a thread like this here already, so mods feel free to delete this if I missed it somehow.
Just installed a Givi E55 Maxia top case!

Did some electrical upgrades: HID headlites, LED signal and running lites in the GIVI trunk, extra LED brake lites, hardwired the Escort radar detector with LED alert and mute button behind the left controls where I can hit it quick with my index finger. Fixed the mirror extenders so they don't vibrate (overtightened before). Installed a powerlet plug in the glove box next to the other power outlet. Couldn't stand the cig lighter plug wiggling loose under way. Fixed that fargin rubber gasket for the windshield arms with new double stick. That should hold it for about ten minutes at 130 degrees this summer in a parking lot.

Almost forgot: Datel, sr357 rack, new horns, 2 different ones not matched for tone, so they are really obnoxious and make your eyes hurt when you hear them.

Can you spell S-T-A-I-N-T-U-N-E...? (Thanks Skooter !!) There are actually two ways to spell it from my perspective. The first is S-W-E-E-T and the second is O-H Y-E-A-H...

Just about a month ago I finished up installing my Baker air wings.

Last week it was the Veskimo cooler in prep for the summer heat. Had to sort out where and how to mount it. DONE.

I wired this GPS power supply to the lighter circuit. Now I don't need to remember to charge up the GPS before I go for a ride or worry about running out of power. I hope the cheapie power supply holds up. If not, I'll spring for the genuine Garmin.

I actually washed the nasty beast yesterday. been about 15k miles since the last wash. Ordered new tires adn dynabeads this morning.

other than that I ride it like I do everyday.

I moved the handlebars to the back position. It was super fast and easy. I referred to this thread before I did it, so I thought it would be more difficult than it was given that folks argued for three pages about it.

Bought, painted and mounted Bestem 2012 Topcase. Used a package from Colorite for the paint. Match was right on.
