Holy cow, just saw what you peeps are getting on the news. We are just getting much need rain but not the monster wind you have Button down the hatches and be safe folks.

Nothing but blue sky and 45-55F. Northeast, PA. I left Allentown 10:30 ish heated jacket liner and socks headed north.

RT 100, 309, 81, 93, 118, 239, 220, 87, 405, 287, 42, 61, back on 78 east to Allentown. Not many riders today, a few BMW ADV types some HD .

287 miles little traffic some detours on 87 bridges washed out south of Forksville Sullivan county. Sun was setting when I parked it at 5 PM.

A good day. !

It's been reasonably warm and dry. I wish I could ride but I'm not healed up enough to push the spyder around the corners.

Heavy rain and only 3°c this morning. I think, It's time to take winter glove.

Today woulda been a near-perfect day to ride in.

Luckily, however, I caged it in.

Why do I say "luckily," you ask?

'Cause I side-swiped a mother-fucking deer.

As has been said many times, the bastard ran out into the road. I had enough time to slow down (luckily no other vehicles were near me) and swerve, but at the last second the fucking thing decided to come out into the road.

I'm fine. The Jeep is fine - it just has some deer snot along the passenger side.

I fucking hate deer.

Had to light the heater pilot this past Monday. Cold front Saturday, cooled off this weekend with lows in the 40s, and the inside of the house finally cooled off enough to be uncomfortably chilly. still in the 50s for lows this week, although low 70s daytime. Shirt-sleeve turkey day!

It is BEAUTIFUL here today! It's a little cool, but warm for the time of year. No wind, no clouds, so sunny and not hot. A couple of my guys and I went on a 3 hour mountain bike ride in our foothills on the west side of the Sandia Mountains. Due to recent rains, the top layer was dry but just underneath was damp and FULL of traction. We rode hard up-hill and then absolutely hauled ass running the down hills and jumps. GWAD, we had fun. Ran into a couple from Cincinnati who were amazed at our weather and terrain. It was great!!

I think the ski folks are winning with their snow dance. It's starting to snow here and they say they will be able to open the resorts this weekend. I suppose I better see if the snow blower will run.

Yep, rain. Not like our countrified friends down yonder- ours is slow, steady heavy mist/light drizzle. We sure needed it too, been 3 or 4 weeks since we had any.

30 knots of NW wind, light fluffy snow blowing all over the place. Snow supposed to quit at noon, wind at 10:00 tonight.

Snow yesterday and more today. Going to plug in the block heater on the tractor. It does better on deep stuff than the blower.:) :)

Just finished working on my blower, don't know how the 2" rock was in the middle of my snow covered driveway but I'd like to kill the bastard that put it there. Only got one shear pin but jammed the auger on the right side, took a BFH to fix it. :(

About an inch of wet, sloppy snow on Mercer Island this morning. Mostly just rain now with more snow and below freezing temps tonight and into the Tuesday morning commute. Put the chains in the trunk and the big ice scraper/brush in the back seat along with some insulated and water resistant gloves. I'm glad I retired in December of last year, driving with snow or slush on the highways here is really interesting.

If ya used a shovel like us working stiffs that rock would not have mattered.
