Why ain't you out riding? Geesh!
JSNS!
Let me think about that...

Snow

Ice

Freezing temperatures

Excessive amounts of salt on roads

Excessive amounts of loose sand on roads

Rain, freezing rain and snow in short-term forecast

Other than that, I don't have any reason for not riding today.

(I figure another 3-4 weeks, if the weather gods cooperate)

-13 here, -21 with the wind chill, 4” of packed snow/ice on the side streets, a healthy layer of sand & salt on the main streets...Fresh ground coffee and a maine coon on my lap just seems like a reasonable option.

Only in Canada do we freely mix metric (°C) with Imperial (inches of snow/ice) without blinking an eye! We even use miles and kilometers in the same sentence.

Actually, the Brits do even worse - the preferred measurement for body mass is in Stones rather than lb or kg.

When I get done with the snow plowing I will be in the shop putting the wheels on your damn bike. Where the hell are the rest of my parts???:):):):):)

Bike's done over 600 miles, not being serviced until Wednesday (that's if I can get it to the dealer with our threatened snow).
Pity, it's beautiful riding weather today, dry, bright sunshine, temperatures around 2C (35F).

What's your excuse?

Carver has this silly assed thing called a job. He will be retiring soon and then we will have to put up with him on a regular basis.

Same silly assed thing for me. Been at work all morning. Think I'll go to the range after work and blow off some steam.
That's what I'm doing right now. I have a bullet stop in my shop and I have been shooting my new Sig .380. Fun little gun

This morning it was 25*f and I feel like a sissy. Got hung up at the airport and now I'm just tired for the day. Tomorrow chores early but the afternoon should be good for a ride!

Cartoons over, took the AT for a quick spin. Pulled a little cotton outta the seat for the second trip off road. No naps for me or the bike. No photos, so it didn't happen

Mid 80s all day with a fierce south wind and a decent chance of rain, but 3 buddies and I went riding anyway. Managed about 350 miles through the back water swamps of south central Louisiana. I found a couple newly paved roads worth knowing. And the Starlite Café' in Gonzales, LA has REALLY good sandwiches. My hot roast beef on rye was delicious. We caught a couple showers in the afternoon, but I brought the frog toggs and all was well.

I'm at almost 2,000 miles for 2018 already.

Not that it was rideable weather here, but I took my oldest boy to a college entrance interview. Rarely have I ever seen this many nerds in one place at a time. Guess I should have figured considering it was for admission into an honors college that pays 100% of all college costs for 4 years. That includes research money and one semester of Mandatory study abroad.

2 things—those kids would make an amazing scholastic bowl team. Who the heck was my wife sleeping with when he was conceived? lol!!
