You NEED to eat at Sahib Indian Cuisine. Order off the menu, the buffet is decent but not always great. Fresh made dishes are top notch! (at least they were when I lived there, and a few months ago when I had them air out a big box of food).

Other good food in the area:

Italian: Alta Cucina

BBQ: Dixie BBQ 1st, Red Pig 2nd. Outside of town is also a killer place called Ridgewoods. Go at a busy time and expect a long line, though.

Mexican: Amigos, several locations

Other: Crazy Cajun

I can't really recommend any of the Chinese restaurants in town. Nothing horrible, but nothing great.

Please consider all of my information a year and a half old, and to be superseded by current locals such as Brazos Parker.

This is on my calendar for the year... I figured after 3 years going west, it's about time I go in the other direction. Plus, Johnson City is only 120 or so miles from Blacksburg, so I'll probably leave 2-3 days early and spend some time reliving my college life at Va Tech. Been a while since I've been back.
