    FJR Forum Decal design

My vote is no top box. Also, incorporating the tuning forks or an FJR insignia somewhere....

    New PIAA 1100 LED

I was running the 1100X on the Martin Fabrication brackets down low on the brake calipers, but hit a dog in New Mexico and broke one of the lens. So order a set of brackets from Garauld and moved the PIAA's up and mounted by the mirrors. Put some cheapo's on the low brackets. I've been running...

    Race Tech Suspension

Do you know if this offer is still valid? I can check with them later this week but could get started pulling parts this evening! Thanks in advance....

    Jack Shoalmire 1K

We did this ride in Ark on 10-15, but did it on V-Stroms, as I already had two 1k's on the FJR, the V-strom was getting jealous...go figure....

See, you went and cracked the floor now....

    What's in your airbox?

I once had a couple of grains of corn, which I think somehow got sucked up in a blast around a grain truck in Nebraska. We were in Wagon Wheel Gap in Colorado a couple of years ago when a friend of mine decided to take his tank off. The rat's nest under it was huge, how it kept from catching on...

    Alaska in Summer 2011

Just did that ride in 2010, doubt I can get 4 to 5 weeks in a row off again this summer. I would love to go back, it was the topic of conversation at lunch today...when to go back. Enjoy, it is awesome!

48 State Ride plus DC next April/May/June

I was excited when I saw this late last night thinking you were going after the IBA 48-10, which I have thought about. But all my route planning looks like a lot of slab riding, which is not my thing. And if you are going to ride the PCH from So Cal to WA, and catch Yosemite and Sequoia and...

    Planning a trip

Not wanting to plan your route (but I love route planning!), a round trip from LaCrosse to YNP and back is about 2500 miles, and if you have five days, that is averaging 500 miles per day every day. A round trip down to Eureka Springs, AR and to West Plains, MO is about 1600 miles in the same...

    Planning a trip

+1 on taking in the Black Hills on the way, and would suggest riding US 85 south to Four Corners, WY, then heading north on WY 585 to Sundance, go by Devil's Tower, then exit north up to WY 112 to US 212 West, and ride thru Little Big Horn. Then over 14A, or 14, into Cody. We stayed one night at...

    Burying a Goldfish

Even my daughter laughed at that one....good one!

Compare: Dragon Tail / Devil's Highway

IMHO, Devil's Highway wins that match, just watch for wildlife (elk are BIG animals!). I've ridden it twice (well four times as we liked it so much both time we turned around and rode it back in the oppostie direction), and the Dragon mulitple times, but prefer 666 (191) south of Alpine. Love...

    FJR or HD Roadking

I have a 2004 FJR, and HAD a 2005 RK. Bought both of them new, and still have the FJR. The RK just wasn't getting much riding. I put a Russell seat on the FJR after an Iron Butt Ride, and love it. I also added custom seat to the RK, it needed it as well. With the stock seat, your buns start...

    Average age of FJR owners

55 here. Bought the FJR in 2004, and still love it. Also have the Wee Strom which I bought to ride to AK this summer. Still loving the FJR, riding it to ATL next week just for grins. Starting riding bikes at 15, kept riding until 26, but sold my GS 750 when my wife was pregnant with our first...

    Tank Bag

Depends on the location mostly. I usually leave it on the bike except at night, when I un-plug the wiring and take it into the room. In big cities or 'hoods where I don't feel it is safe, I park where I can keep an eye on it, or take it off and bring it in. Mostly, it stays on the bike. I will...
