I bought a 2016 9k miles with a Laam seat on it. Not sure how many miles on the seat. Looks new. 400.00 plus shipping

6'6" 270, 35" inseam, ride with seat in upper position, I do need to stretch the legs every so often. Sometimes its just a matter of pulling to the shoulder and and standing up.

I really liked my 16, especially the 6 spd and lighting, just didn't trust it after recall work. Anyone know what year the 2nd gear was corrected at factory and not needing recall work done?

Looking at buying 2015 1300A, 7700 miles, any issues I should look for? Had a 16 ES but I sold it, how much difference between 5 and 6 spd? Thanks in advance for any help

Last November I paid 9500 for a 16 ES with 5800 miles, no farkle other than top box.

Yes get less rain than I do in Poulsbo. Sequim is up and coming, now is a good time to move there. I am looking for property there as well.

Sun came out today 48 degrees, did 100 miles to Sequim WA and back. Little chilly in the shade but it was nice to get out and ride. Weather supposed to be same tomorrow, hoping to get in another ride.

There's an article at Asphaltandrubber.com about it. Talked to Yamaha today, "no, no recall for transmission", would be nice if Yamaha would be more forthcoming about it seeing as everyone knows about it.

I just talked to Yamaha today. Told them I bought the bike used from a dealer a month ago. They told me I could purchase the warranty and quoted prices I listed in previous post. I would need to purchase it through the dealer I bought it from. 

Talked with Yamaha today, told them I am new owner of 2016. Asked if any recalls based on my VIN. Only recall was for ECU and it had been replaced. Looking into Y.E.S., quoted 1yr 520.00 or 2yr 680.00. Also getting quotes from other after market warranty companies.

Thought the recall was outside the US. Are all 6 speeds affected? If so how do I find out if mine is?

Makes me wish I still had my 84 GPZ 1100.
