You should, I was following you in Colorado coming off a mountain when you crossed the center line, almost ran into a truck coming the other way, and laid your bike down in the dirt/weeds.  😄

Not sure if anyone remembers me... I was a pretty active member back when this board got started, but according to my account, it looks like my last post was in 2011, so almost 9 years ago.  Lots of memories poking around in some of the areas here... the national meetings, regional meetings...

My personal experience is that my V1 has saved me from at least a dozen potential tickets over the last 5 years, especially on long cross country trips. I agree wholeheartedly that audio is a necessity, and having it plugged into my earphones is just as important. Two situations I haven't seen...

As am I Don, especially since you were going to make the trip from CA... will have to catch you at another event in the future.

Got my shirt and sticker ordered yesterday... looking forward to this very much. Got to get my planning done on how many days to take to get up there... and back. Direct route, side excursions, curvy roads along the way... decisions, decisions, decisions.

Kind of surprised that the River Road (FM 170) between Presidio and Terlingua near Big Bend didn't make at least the Honorable Mention... I'd swap that with the Natchez Trace in a heartbeat and never look back.

I've got a bunch of those same pics... including the basin, the canyon, and others, but the FJR in my pics is blue... :D

I think I remember riding to that place with MGM a few years back for a TWT RTE... Might just have to do it.
