    2007 FJR 1300A For Sale

Thank you, and you are probably right about getting back on an FJR. My guess is that it will be in about 6 years when my son graduates from college. I hope I don't regret this, but Sale is pending...

    2007 FJR 1300A For Sale

No sweat Gary, I'm still riding, and bet I can keep up with y'all on my KLR in the twisty's! The long straights may be another matter. I'm still there to go riding with you, it just might be on something other than an FJR. I don't have to sell her, and if I don't get any bites, I just may...

    2007 FJR 1300A For Sale

Cycle Gear. I think I paid $30 for it on sale. May have been $40, I don't really remember now, but it was on sale and not really expensive. I think it was the largest one they had. Well worth the money I paid for it.

    2007 FJR 1300A For Sale

I am selling my 2007 FJR 1300A for no other reason than I don't ride her enough. I bought her in October of 2011 from the original owner who lived in Augusta Georgia. My intentions were to ride with my family. However, when my son turned 16 in February of this year, at the urging of my wife...

    gps mounting

I use the mirror mounting hole that is not used on my Gen ll with a ram ball and short arm. I have a Garmin 1450lmt and use ziplock bags for water protection. I now see that Garmin has a Zumu with lifetime maps. No lifetime maps was. Why I didn't go the Zumo route when I bought mine. Wayne

    Rent a Farkle

I have been letting this idea simmer for a little while, and it still seems doable to me. Great offer by the way Jules083. First, maybe the Admins can change the title of this thread to reflect it as a free opportunity vs something that makes money. Here is my idea: If a specific area could...

    Rent a Farkle

The PIF idea is great, but doesn't do the same thing this would accomplish. What I think would be cool, is a way for people to have access to an accessory for a certain amount of time to try it out. Imagine if we had a thread for windshields, with topics for each type or size. If I was the...

    Rent a Farkle

You're right, the bar risers may be a little too much for a try and see. However, other simple bolt on items like a windshield, seat, highway pegs and the such could work. It would be cool though if there were such a place or way to check out certain accessories, like a book at the library...

    Rent a Farkle

I got to thinking, and that is always scary. :o I see lots of posts asking about different Farkles like windshields, seats, etc., and understand that it is a risk to drop from $100 to over $500 for an accessory without being able to try it out first. What if the club had a supply of such...

    How old were you?

The Honda 650 Nighthawk is a great bike. Shaft drive, and fun fun fun. I had an 1984 model. I wouldn't give up the FJR for it, but I did like that bike.

    How old were you?

My son and I ride off road, mostly. A few back country roads to get to another dirt road when needed. I will say 16 now seems younger than 16 then, but believe each situation is different. I would still feel comfortable to have him on the street with "ME" and on the right roads. Right attitude...

    Prepping the FJR to sell

I bought a new 2011 KLR about 3 months ago. Thought of selling the FJR, but fortunately I can keep both. Two totally different bikes, but really enjoy the type of riding both bikes offer. Any chance of picking up an older KLR and keeping the FJR too? May not work with your time allotment, but...

    Throttlemeister spins but doesn,t engage

The correct way to do this, is to remove the bar end and adjust the bronze sleeve. It is threaded onto the bar end weight and this threading in and out is what adjusts the clearance. The hex bolt is supposed to have blue loctite (comes with the throttlemeister when shipped) on it when you make...

    Have U installed lowering links?

Had these lowering links on my 07 FJR when I bought her. HATED THEM!!! I want a center stand that I can use and these links made it very hard to do that. Throw em in the trash. Of course, I'm 6'4" so I don't need em anyway. Wayne

    How old were you?

I was a paper boy from 4th grade to 10th grade. I know exactly how you feel. I hated Sunday morning. Although this is where I got the money for my Honda CB550 four when I was 16. Of course, you don't see paper boys anymore. The world has gone crazy. Wayne
