Read the New Rifle thread 4 below this one. I love my Rifle. It is BIG, but it works !! I got the +3" tall, +4" wide per both the Rifle & CE Bailey sizing spec sheets. Had a CEB shield on my '04 BMW RT and didn't like it, too much noise and light reflections.

Sorry IObeam, look at the top pic. Our shfiter mounting is behind the footpeg plate, and the hardest bolt to remove is the one behind the toe shifter holes, which don't align with the bolt head.

I wasn't very clear on my request. I got the shifter/rubber part off just like you stated (great pic1), but I did that along time ago. I want to remove the metal angled shifter lever that has the 3 shifter adjustments holes in it between your 2 spanners, the part that disappears into the footpeg...

Has anyone taken off the shifter pedal? If so, how did you get the screw that is behind the rubber pad out?

I tried like hell NOT to remove the top triple tree, even using a small bolt cutter get get rid if the wire holder. While I got it cut off, the cut was very sharp which bothered me. Best to remove the tree!! 36mm 6 point from Sears.

My AE clutch disengages around 1500 rpm, so there is NO reason not to downshift into the proper gear before a stop, before the wheels stop turning which assists in the downshift.

Go to your local Ace Hardware or ??, much cheaper !! Some buy 100 or more (bulk) at 1 time on-line for a good price.
