What puppychow said. I have the Helmet Guardian and really liked it on another bike I owned, on the FJR not so much. It does its job, but i don't like how the helmets rest against the exhaust pipes.

FWIW, I ordered the set of these tires on 9/5 and got them rather quickly. Obviously YMMV, and I was very lucky.

My first Reuben Run and I had a blast. I enjoyed meeting everyone, and my thanks to the folks I got to ride with, but especially to Ray and his family, for all their work in putting the event together.

Sorry, I just saw this thread and may be replying too late. I am a scuba diver and carry insurance from the Divers Alert Network. They provide emergency transport, whether dive related or not. You may want to contact them and see if they would insure you.

It sounds like you had a very nice ride. I recently covered part of your route, only I stayed on the Washington side of the Columbia River gorge, versus I-84. Highly recommended.

Either route looks like fun. I am in Wenatchee and would join you on option #1 if I could, but I made a commitment to go hiking tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I think I will go, although I will probably stay in a hotel instead of camping. I rode through Goldendale on Tuesday of this week and could see the closed road that is opened up for the participants, and it looks awesome!
