    Thanks for your input and yes as I got older I realized lighter is better. Hence my purchase of a 2020 katana. I still keep my blue 05 FJR for touring.

    how much do you want for it I could pay shipping into Canada as a used part? I cannot mount my shad trunk at all!

    My friends wife backed into the rear of the bike and broke it years ago. even the key broke inside the SHAD trunk

    yes the stock plastic grab rail trunk mount is broken Plus I have a SHAD trunk mounting system The metal Givi system will not work.

    The grab rail back- carrier made of plastic broke in half. Are the other model years like gen 2 are they the same back carrier? I can no longer mount my trunk on the back nothing left to grab onto. Hoping to find a used replacement.

    For the love of GOD put wheel bearing grease on the axle. The axle does not spin but a inner needle bearing sure does The grease works its way onto that bearing. A light coating works each time you take off the wheel.

    The only problem is a needle bearing in the middle of axle where it does need grease. No the axle does not spin but that bearing sure does wheel bearing grease does wonders.

    Like I say for some the AE is a perfect fit. I think a honda test drive of the DCT goldwing 1800 is in order.

    2018 FJR Details Released

    Pretty sure it comes from the racing blue and white colour scheme on their factory racers. I like the colour all a matter of individual tastes.
