I have a 2005 fjr the plastic back carrier broke is there a metal replacement available?

Are you speaking of the mounting plate? (For a OEM trunk?)

Givi makes the SR346 rack for mounting their top case. The rack replaces the OEM rear rack and grab rails and is all metal.

yes the stock plastic grab rail trunk mount is broken Plus I have a SHAD trunk mounting system The metal Givi system will not work.

mine is a shad trunk. the whole plastic carrier broke in half
