I have had one for about 30,000 miles on my '03. It works just fine and eliminates the search for the oem type. Especially good on a long tour in sparsely populated areas--the best kind.

Does anybody know if this project is still alive?

I use it on my "winter and touring" (tall) windscreen. I think it helps in reducing buffeting. I removed it from my "summer" (real short) screen because it restricts the airflow in the down position.

I had Sargent re-foam,re-contour and re-cover my rider's seat. It was very reasonably priced and 20,000 miles later,I still love it. I have 27 1/2" inseam so it is lower,narrower than stock and I can reach the ground before I fall over. Contact them. They do good work for a fair price.

I have a Scotts filter on my US '03. It has about 25,000 miles on it with no problems. I have had no trouble cleaning the filter at oil change time. I have used Mobil1 since about 5oo miles. I think the only real advantages are convenience-you don't have to go buy a filter-and Bling.

The PCIII on my '03 is the single best mod I have done. Much better response,smoother and cooler. I recommend it!

I installed the Nautilus Mini on my '03 using FJRandy's harness. It took a bit of black plastic removal but it works. This puppy is LOUD! The cagers are looking for a locomotive on the road! Paint

I have Smartire on my '03. It was installed at the local shop whn they put on a new rear that leaked down on the freeway and left me stranded. I would never tour again without it.

+1 White smoke is always water (coolant for you young guys). Black smoke is carbon caused by too much fuel. Blue smoke is oil burning. Paint

I have a 643 on my '03 from the first group buy. Put in the springs,too. I set the sag for solo and left the comp/rebound where Wilbers put it. I set the sag in the front solo and softened the comp/rebound 1 or 2 clicks. When two-up or loaded for a tour,I crank in about 2 1/2 turns of shock...
