Rode an 05 FJR last weekend...

D&H were superb people to deal with; I highly recommend them. They were also a great excuse for me to take The Long Ride. Good luck wherever you buy your bike, you are going to love the FJR. :D

    Mileage Check

    Your Previous Bike's Style Was...

2000 Concours which was a great bike..the FJR is sort of a modern day updated version. Since picking up the 05 FJR, Connie has sat neglected under my porch for a year. Can't say enough about my Blue. Very happy with the upgrade.

    Bottom Line Price

    |I agree the Fly/Ride can't be beat at D&H. Jerold had a worker pick me up at the Birmingham Airport and brought me back to Cullman where three of us were picking up 05/Blues. It was a great excuse for a long ride taking me 3,327 miles of excellent riding back to Maine. I had plenty of time to...

    Surveys

Mailed the JD Power survey out today. Praised the price and dealership at D&H;thumbs down on lack of color choice and PDP program; actually enjoy surveys.

    Street Racing Kills

Watched the whole thing but wished I didn't. Yup, there was a helmet that was split in two. Nasty accident. :o

    Coast Of Maine

Definitely stay off Route 1 from Kittery to Portland;tons of traffic. A better road with less traffic and no lights is picking up Route 202 on the border which has a lot of country scenic riding. Once in Augusta take Route 17 to the coast to avoid the mid-coast Rt. 1 traffic;it will dump you out...

FJR's In The 2005 Iron Butt Rally

Cheers to all who are riding and the staff people involved. It's great to be following the riders via the maps, photo's, and updates by Warchild. Checking out the gear on the FJR's is interesting; getting some ideas. Good luck to the riders; DANG that's a lot of riding. :D

    America's 911 Tribute Ride

I'm a motorcycle officer that just returned from escorting about 1400 motorcycles along with 140 other uniformed m/c officers to all three of the crash sites from the September 11, 2001 attack on our country. This was a Tribute Ride to remember all those killed in the attacks...

    Please Be Careful

That's a horrible video to watch;felt like I was at the scene;too bad for all involved in the crash. Flat area with an intersection far out in the countryside;never heard a siren responding in the background.

Totally Crude Not For Your Kids

On the exterior she's a knock-out but inside her head she is a mess. Her jail time is ridiculous; if it were a male teacher with a 13yoa girl he would be locked away for years.

    Is "sport-touring.net" Down

I spent about an hour last night cursing at my computer because it never fully loaded; the bars would get about half-way and stop. Hopefully it will be back online soon; I enjoy the varied opinions and topics on" that other site." :D

    Canada Tour

Thanks for the report. Have been up in that area several times for hiking trips; need a swivel-head to look at the scenery. I would love to get there on a bike some day. For your next adventure ride you need to bring a CAMERA !! :D

    Shameless Self Promotion

Nice photos. I have hiked to the top of Half Dome and the views are incredible from there. The cables are a STEEP climb on the backside trail up to the summit. One heck of a drop-off. :D

    My Fjr Turned 1 Today

B-day will be 9/5/05 for my BLUE. Currently at 8,705; expect to break into the 9's this weekend with a good weather forecast. Love the bike; Heli-bars are the only mod so far;my bike sounds naked next to some of the farkles I have seen listed. I take the extendedway home after work every day...
