    1st Gen fork upgrades

At 80K miles it's time to do the forks again. Prolly past time since the last seal and oil change was around 20-25K miles. I'm guessing it's prolly need new fork tube bushing {not that I've noticed any abnormal movement} but what I'm really wondering about are, as the title states,,,,,upgrades...

    FJR rackday tires

Thinking about a trackday on the FJR since it's now the closest thing to a sportbike I have. On my R1 I was a Intermediate to Expert rider and I know I won't be treating the FJR like a R1 so I'm wondering if I could just run a sport touring tire like the PRs? Only reservation I have on that is...

    WTB, Gen1 raising links

Alright, maybe the smaller .625 link would be best. What do y'all think? Maybe not enough of a different to notice and l should get the 1.25 link?

    WTB, Gen1 raising links

Thanks. There is also a guy in Canada that sells raising links, just found him. The Canadian dude sells 5/8ths, 1.25 and 2 inch versions. I know the 2 inch is more than I want. I'm waffling between the 5/8ths and the 1.25 inch version. I've already raised the front and the tripple is flush with...

    WTB, Gen1 raising links

As the title states, I would like to buy a set of 03-05 raising links. I don't know if the Gen2 links are the same but if they are, include the Gen2.

I am finally happy with the FJR setup

The shorter link is effectively a shorter lever which has less mechanical leverage on the shock. While it didn't actually make your shock's spring stiffer {or the damping for that matter}, it did effectively do just that. People often notice the opposite when they install lowering links...

    WTB,,,,,, raising links

Thanks for the input on the height limit. I saw the 1.25 links but I was hesitant to raise the rear that much and actually was looking at the 5/8ths version. Wa also thinking about making a set that would raise the rear about .75 of an inch. I've already raised my triples as high as they can go...

    WTB,,,,, 1st gen fuel pump

    1st gen front brakes

I tried to sell back when I bought the Buell but I was sorta dismayed at what people were willing to give for a high mile FJR and decided I would just keep it and ride the wheels off the thing. It's actually a 04 and now I'm well over 75K mile on my way to 80K! Ironically, the right caliper is...

    1st gen front brakes

Mine have alot of miles and alot of abuse. My right caliper sticks from time to time I have to remove, work the piston in and out to get it loosened up. In any event, the calipers either need rebuilding or,,,,,,,, they need replacing. I'm wondering if there is a fairly common swap out there that...

Getting prepped to do a little camping, FJR style

Late to the party but hey, other people might could use some pointers. Way back when I first got the bike- The green bag on the seat has a 4 person tent and ground cloth, a tarp and a queen sized airbed. Basically all my "shelter" oriented gear. I kept my sleeping bag in the top box to...

Purchasing an FJR in Atlanta and driving to Rochester

I assume you will have a signed title "in hand" for the trip home. That along with a Bill of Sale and a valid insurance "should" be all you should need. I have bought several vehicles of of state and rode/drove them home without giving it a second thought.
