    What are buttons for?

Sporall - if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your 2008 model? I have 2007 model with only 1300 miles that I'm thinking about putting up for sale.

Considering a 2016 FJR, but concerned about tranny recall.

Is this recall for the 5-speed or the newer 6-speed?

    Garmin Zumo discount

I'm struggling to verify whether this can be "hard wired" to the bike for power. On the site it says in the "in the box" comes the motorcycle power cable, which should work for it being wired to power when on the bike, right? I have my Zumo hard wired to my FJR's battery and it works fine...

    FJR1300 To Be Retired

Why would 2022 be the last year of the FJR? It this bike has obviously been selling well enough for Yamaha to keep the line going for 19 years, and they continue to make improvements on it, so why would they stop now?

    New Bike Choice

Subjective of course, but IMO 'looks wise' the FJR puts the BMW to shame. I've owned a '05 FJR, and still own a '07 FJR with low miles. I considered upgrading to a 2022 FJR but with the exception of a few new bells and whistles, I'd be buying the same bike again. My next bike might be a new Wing.

    2022 Yamaha FJR

The 2022 looks identical to the 2005 FJR had used to own, with the small exception of the badging on the side bags is slightly different. My '05 was one hell of a hot beast in the summer too! I sold it and bought an '07 which was much cooler to ride (and still own it).

    My friend Dave’s bike.

I owned a 2005 FJR. Traded it in on a 2007 FJR only because the '05 gave off too much heat in the summers. Still have my '07. One nice thing about FJR's is, except for color and a few bells and whistles, they all pretty much look the same, so they never look old! :^))

    While she's naked...

Ah, the infamous heat mods. I performed the heat mods on my '05, but found it didn't help much. After cookin' for two summers I finally threw in the towel and traded my '05 in on an '07. But just prior to getting rid of my '05, I was considering a new heat mod. I was considering mounting a...

    O.k. you 08 owners...

After your first scratch or the first time you drop it, you won't notice the water spots so much! :D

Has anyone tried the National Cycle VStream replacement windshield on their GenII FJR? Does it work? Downsides? SR-71

    Year in review

"How's the busa in the heat? I've seen some with melted paint on the lower fairings!" For some crazy reason and I don't know why, the engine heat from my Busa has never bothered me - it seems to be almost non-existent. Perhaps the melted paint on the lower fairings you speak of is an...

    Death of an FJR

Glad to hear Phil made it through the ordeal. Guess the frame sliders didn't do much good in this situation, eh?

Can I get some opinions on beginner Bikes

This sounds like the exact thing I went through with my wife a few years ago. Maybe I can save you some time... My wife also didn't want; a scooter; or a cruiser, or a sport bike (too aggressive riding position); and what complicated matters even worse was, she wanted a bike that could keep up...

Try a Gen-1 FJR in temps over 90. When you get back on your Gen-2 you'll think the A/C got turned on. :D SR-71

Just test road a FJR today...

Nothing wrong with saving $$$, but I wouldn't let the difference of a few bux stand in my way of enjoying myself. It's tough trying to go ride a bank account. :)

    FJR Today

That's one sorry saleman! Most every dealer has a computer hooked to the internet. He could have at least printed you out a FJR brouchure. If the sales team is that flaky, the service department probably isn't any better. I suggest just viewing the FJR there, then after make up your mind...

    2006 Saddlebag Damage

Definitely looks like someone wanted your side bags, or at least "in" your side bags. Question; by any chance did you store anything expensive in your side bags before you walked away from your bike? Like a GPS, camera, etc? If so, perhaps the thief was watching you. In any case, insurance...

    2008 Hayabusa

WC that's the best looking tail end of a new Busa rear I've ever seen. Agreed... don't wash it! :) Some after-market company would definitely make a killing if they'd come out with a replacement for the Busa's tail end. SR-71

    FJR appreciation

My Busa just sez, "Nail it. I dare ya." :P Owning multiple bikes is definitely fun. SR-71

    Saddlebags- On or Off?

At first I was leaving them home for short runs, but every time I left them home, I ended up wishing I had brought them. Now they stay on 100% SR-71
