    Forum Discount At Bikeeffects.com

Another "thumbs up" for "Sport's Effects" & Jeff's help. I got the carbon Leo Vince pipes there. The pipes arrived right on time.

    Custom saddle

I've riden the Russell on a 05 FJR and REALLY liked it for comfort. But, I went with the Sargent over the Russell thinking the Sargent would allow for easier leaning off-in the corners. The Sargent is not a "perfect" for my arse, but a huge improvement over the stock seat. If I had it to do...

Right on! Thanks for the replies. I obviously overlooked that when ordering. :)

So, here's what I got (Model 641) But I was expecting to see the red-handled adjuster attached to the hydraulic unit. Am I missing something here? Many thanks.

    Revenue Speed Zones

Heading west on Hi Way 90, through Sprague, WA, I guarantee no discrimination - they bust everyone! Most importantly, they use Laser radar while waiting over the crest of a hill (When I crested the hill, the V-1 went absolutely nuts -but it was too little, too late). Be Careful in that area!!!

I just saved a lot on my motorcycle insurance!

I have an 05, and was with Dairyland. I just switched to GMAC and saved $181.00 a year for the same full coverage.

    2006 - Wilbers Group Buy

Damn it all, I'm "in" too ... 641 w/ springs. The stock suspension is just too lazy for this bike!

    Pipes For The Fjr

I just installed the Leo Vince CF cans today on my 05. They look and sound great! The machine work and packaging was second to none!!! I wasn't expecting a noticeable change in performance. Let’s just say, I was pleasantly surprised. The throttle response it definitely “snappier”. :D...

    Stock Bridgestones

I'm surprised to see how many praise the Stones in the rain The first time taking an extended group ride in the rain went something like this: I overshot a turn-off, and waited to see what the ABS would do. The ass end kicked out about 1 1/2 feet. Flat Trackin' it in the rain. :fool...

    Rev limiter... not really.

Well, that explains it! I ran mine into the red (10k ish) trying to get by a cavalcade of cars stuck behind the proverbial U-Haul. Once safely past, I thought, hey, wait a minute. Isn't this bike supposed to have a rev-limiter? So, now I know - 10.5, here I come! Congrats on the...

    I crashed 10/23 - I'm OK

Tom: I'm in that "been there - done that" club of broken ribs. And it's no sneezin' matter. Best of luck on your next "ride" whatever you decide.

I love the heat from my 05 Feejer!!

Here, Here! I love the heat on my legs from the 05. It wasn't bothersomel during the summer months; and, I sure love it now! Side Note: While riding in the rain, with the stock shield fully extended, it creates the perfect downdraft to wash the ensuing raindrops off the face-shield. Cool...

Would Ya Look At All The FJR's For Sale

I'm keeping the 05. Although tempted, I've got warranty on this pup till "09; and, I'm just getting this one the way I want her. I've had no heat issues, and so far, here no ticky. I shopped the 06 a bit - hell, the temptation part is the best part! But, for an additional 3K+, I just don't...

    Valentine And Rain

Yah know, I'd agree with that. Experience has taught me that with "Laser" radar, all I know is WHEN I'm getting ticketed. But, I've learned not to put total trust into the V-1 anymore. I now know to watch the roads with the same intensity that I did before I had it, and that is working well...

    Valentine And Rain

Thanks, all. Woh: Where did I miss this little tidbit of info (maybe I should fully read the friggen manual)? It's nice to know I can throw the detector in the tank bag and know it still works. As for the "V-1 vs. Laser", my first experience went like this: the V-1 goes “ape-shit” about...

Right on. Thanks for the reply(s) - (LGizmo). It's a shame to spend that much on a radar detectors and not be able to hear it. I went with the Mix-it 2. As for the visual aspect, well the warning lights are just plain ineffective when exposed to direct sunlight. I'm trying to find a good...
