    Dang.  This is a steal.

Does the FJR have a low first gear at all?

Yes there are a few riding the Big KTM Adventure’s lower geared.   But for me I don’t think it’s feasable from Southern Utah to Los Angeles where I work as a Fireman.  It’s hard to beat a shaft drive for long distance riding.  Not sure I want a chain drive for that duty. Been riding a 09 BMW...

Does the FJR have a low first gear at all?

Probably a dumb question but I’m considering coming back to an FJR after years of owning and riding BMW’s.  Since I sold my last 2 FJR’s I’ve been involved with working as a MotoRef for USA Cycling and also working some of the largest Pro Cycling Races in the USA for the past 6 years.  One of...

any tall fjr riders out there over 6'2''

Sorry to restore such an old topic but since I’m in the market once again for an FJR I figured I’d put in my .02 cents.  I owned both an 07 and 08 in the past and found with some bar risers and the seat in the high position that it was actually quite comfy.   Like I said I think I’m leaving BMW...

I would make an even sweeter deal if someone twisted my arm and didn't need the Givi Top case and Givi SR 357 mount bracket. Say right around the $6200 mark... That's dirt cheap for this bike..

2008 Yamaha FJR 1300AE Properly Farkled (Lots of Pics)

$7200. Zumo GPS no longer available.. So I dropped my price accordingly plus a little extra. Lets move this bike... You won't find a nicer AE out there...

2008 Yamaha FJR 1300AE Properly Farkled (Lots of Pics)

The previous owner did the ghost flames. He claims they will rub off but I didn't want to test that theory. At first when I saw them in photo's I didn't really care for them. After seeing it in person I actually liked it. It kinda makes the bike stand out from the crowd. This is an...

2008 Yamaha FJR 1300AE Properly Farkled (Lots of Pics)

The guy I bought the FJR from use to have a side business making these and selling them for different bikes. Held on by 3m Dual lock and the guard is made from some type of plastic that doesn't melt or keep the air from flowing good. Great bug shield.... He is retired and doesn't make them...

My FJR might be short lived

Decided today after another ride on the FJR that I am at least going to put forth the effort and see if I can sell it. Test rode a DL1000 at the local dealer for about 20 miles and felt an instant difference. Even though it doesn't have the get up and go that the FJR does. I will try and sell...

2008 Yamaha FJR 1300AE Properly Farkled (Lots of Pics)

Was hoping this was gonna be a bike I would keep for along time but after riding it for awhile I have decided to part with it. I for the life of me cannot get comfortable on this bike and have thrown to much money at it to keep going and trying. This bike has about every imaginable farkle ever...
