    OEM Shock, MCL Risers

OEM Shock, never used $200.00 firm, MCL Risers $150.00 (1 1/2 up, 1 3/4 back). Email if interested, I don't get to the forum as much as I'd like to during the Summer. Also have a Russell Day-long (I'm 180lbs) sport type seat if anyone interested. Has some superficial cat scratches on it but...

2nd day of ownership & dropped my FJR

Embarrassment is like adrenalin. After a long trip I was too lazy and tired at a Stop sign so figured I'd do the hesitate and go, but reflexes were gone, so-over it went. I hustled to get it up thankful (I thought) that no one was around, when I heard a voice say "Hey are you OK?" "How'd you...

2nd day of ownership & dropped my FJR

Many of us have experienced this event. There's no feeling quite like the feeling when you realize it's past the point of no return. I have the habit now of resting my foot against it to brace it so it can't move without me knowing it, but it's the time you think you can get away with it that...

    OEM Shock

Haven't seen this topic for a while-thanks for the comment. There are always piranha looking for a nip. Fact is, I've given quite a bit of FJR farkles and parts away for free-and anyone who responded with half a brain might have received quite a deal (an old trick of mine), as some here can...

    Corbin Front Seat

Pictures will only show it is in good condition-no rips, etc. I am shipping it out to one of the guys who responded for a trial-if he doesn't like it, I'll contact all interested for a trial.

    Corbin Front Seat

I'll show it to Nervous and go from there- -It is lower than stock, I'm height challenged so look to get things lower- -One way or 'tother I'll get it to BO this week-

    OEM Shock

The shock-the entire shock. The OEM's over $800.00, and most after market shocks are a lot more than that. This is new, not smacked up in a get-off, etc. If interested, make an offer. If not, than there are probably better things to do-

    OEM Shock

I'm selling the stock shock from my 2008. Put the Wilbers on my 2008 from my '05 and the oem's never been used-brand new. Asking $500.00/BO (reasonable). Keep it around in case my Wilbers needs to be serviced unexpectedly but have two other bikes anyway-so what the heck. Can PM me or email...

    Adaptiv TPX Radar Detector

I've had the Adaptiv for quite a while and it has saved my bacon on numerous occasions. May not pick up everything, but every bit helps.

    Lowering the front forks Thursday

I've raised & lowered two generation of FJRs, sometimes over 2". I've had the front lowered 1" or more, etc., all for the sake of monkeying around. The rule is that every bit you lower it, the more you'll scrape. Get an aftermarket suspension and dial it in for harder, you'll also scrape...

    Code 30!

I almost got away with that-at least thought I did-came up to a stop sign, too lazy/tired, meant to hesitate, but whoops-did perfect back flip. First thing I did was look all around. Ah, no one saw! Get bike up, roll to side of sign very pleased, then I hear: "Hey! You all right?" Crap...

    Code 30!

PS: I will add that I'm currently recuperating from a torn abdominal muscle and tweaked disc due to yanking on the darn thing as I was asking a woman if she was OK (she drove right off the road into a ditch, right in front of me while texting)and my foot slipped-I should have let the darn thing go!

    Code 30!

I'm so short and my bikes are so high/top heavy, that I've perfected a back flip that enables me to get clear without anything falling on me.

Texting, top heavy FJR and Pain

A little editorial: Have been off the Board for a while and just read about Madjackdog's injury due to an idiot with a cell phone-made me so pissed I had to describe this: On my way back from Americade, on #29 in the middle of nowhere, young female idiot in a jeep coming the opposite direction...

    Average age of FJR owners

62 this month. I have two of the FJR's daddies-bought an '86 FJ in '86 and have an '87 FJ also. I currently have an '08 FJR (had an '05). Just picked up an '02 Blackbird for the heck of it. You only live once!

What a Pain in the ASS!

Just pulled the right side bulb out on the '08 today. I've had worse situations, like getting at all the spyders-especially the one near the headlight bulb-but it certainly is a pain in the neck.
