Getting 42-46 mpg from my 2005 on the highway. That's with a passenger, a loaded top-box and a V-Stream windshield at an average speed of 70 mph. Can't complain about the mileage.

The V-Stream works well for me. I'm 5'11" and greatly prefer it over the stock shield. Smooth air-flow and virtually zero helmet buffeting. I also don't need to raise the V-Stream all the way up. Recommended.

I'm planning to buy a used FJR in the next few weeks and have a question for current owners. Are there any reasons not to to consider bikes with higher mileage? By 'higher mileage' I mean over 30K miles. Is a clean example with 30K miles much less desirable than a similar bike with 10K miles...
