    2600 miles, 5 days

We all spend money on ergonomic stuff for our bikes but you never know whether or not the money was well spent until you put it to the test. Last Tuesday I left Harrisburg NC on an official SS 1000 to an MTF Flower Sniffing event in Marquette Michigan. After a quick check with Google Maps I...

First Year Assessment of My 2016

So, I have now been riding my 2016 FJR for a full year. Actually it was a year in April but whose counting. My other bike is a 2007 Gold Wing that I have put 97,000 miles on so far. I just turned over 13,000, (factory tires come off for a set of PR 4 GTs next week), on the FJR and it was a trip...

    East Coast RTE Forksville PA

Join us for an MTF favorite, the Forksville General Store in beautiful upstate Pennsylvania. Let's meet on Saturday, June 10th, around 11:00 for tire kicking. Lunch around noon. Big Mike does not take reservations, but has always managed to take good care of us. He has some great grub, too...

    Gen 3 service manuel

I have a 2016 and the newest service manual I can find is a Clymer for 2006 -2013. Does anyone know of a newer version or are they just not out yet?

    Ozarks were great!

So the first long trip on the 2016 FJR was from home in Harrisburg NC to the Motorcycle Tourier's Forum Founders Feast in Russellville AR. Day one was from Harrisburg to Sikeston MO to meet up with a friend, Jim McPhearson who is from Brantford Ontario and to eat some throwed rolls at Lambert's...

Anyone for Russellville AR next week?

Is anyone from here going to the Motorcycle Tourier's Forum Founders Feast in Russellville AR next week? I'm leaving Harrisburg NC at 0-Dark-Thirty on Wednesday morning and spending the night in Sikeston MO in order to eat at Lambert's Cafe and get some throwed rolls. If anyone is going that...

    Laam Seat Review

I received my new seats from Seth Lamm last week. I had him do the driver's seat only but reupholster the passenger seat to match. The evening before he built my seat we had about a twenty minute conversation about my height, weight, inseam and riding style. I took his advice about material, I...

    RDL is a class act

So I bought a 2016 FJR and my first serious outing after some farkeling was to go to Forksville PA from Harrisburg NC for a sandwich. Nothing like a couple of 600 mile days to bond with a new bike. In short, the seat was a royal pain in the butt. When I got home I called RDL to discuss their...

    Getting to know my FJR

I had a nice couple of days on my new 2016A. Left from the Charlotte, NC area, (Harrisburg) and rode to Pittston PA, about 625 miles including about 50 miles in pretty steady rain on I-81. The bike handled great on the wet roads and the zoom zoom factor on dry roads is a bunch of fun. Saturday...

So, I finally joined the ranks

Saturday I found a deal on a private sale 2014 ES with 5100 miles on it. On Monday I got the paperwork and brought it home. One of the first things I noticed is that I can't reach the valve stems with my air gauge or air line chuck. Does anyone sell a 90º valve stem for the FJR?

    Interesting sales encounter

I have been lurking here on the forum for a time now because I'm seriously thinking of going from my current Wing to an FJR ES. Saturday I stopped by Ride Now Motorsport's in Concord NC. They have a 2014 non-ES model on the floor so I ask the sales guy who latched on to me, if I can roll it out...
