If I've got some bar-mounted farkle running on the outlet, I generally keep the door open. I don't like pinching the cable with the door. I've never had anything jump out of the storage pocket with the lid open.

I put a tall touring SC foam on my F650GS. It's really firm. You wouldn't think it's going to be comfortable at first, but we just wrapped up a 2000 mile tour of Baja and I never had butt fatigue.

I've used motostorm for a bunch of euro-made equipment with significant savings. They've never let me down. Recently, I bought a scorpion adv helmet and was surprised to find that it didn't come with a DOT sticker. After noodling on it, why should it? Don't be surprised.

I have a couple of ANKER USB adapters. A 3-port in the glove box plugged into the factory 12VDC socket and a 4-port in the top box. Both of them are spec'd at 2.1 amps for all ports. 2.1 amps is plenty enough to charge and use anything simultaneously. The glove box powers my iPhone and SPOT...

I ride a raven '09 through those parts on my daily commute on I-5. I don't have a recollection of the encounter, but I'm usually focused on dodging the idiots and avoid becoming a sigalert.

I have a brand new REV'IT! Tornado 2 jacket in silver. Still has all the tags on it. The jacket features a zip-in waterproof & insulated liner making it just as suitable for 110 degrees in the sun as 40 degrees and rain. I bought the pants and the jacket as a set. Love the pants, but the jacket...

Hah! I miscalculated once and was forced to buy a couple of gallons at that gas station. I literally laughed out loud when I saw the posted price. That's one place in Big Sur I don't feel sorry for.
