A two-day break from the rain, so headed out to grab my first dam of the 2012 dam tour. I was on-call today, so filled the bike with my work clothes "just in case" but never got called.
Also, since I haven't posted an RR yet, I tried to take some pics, albiet from my phone, so they're not the greatest. (My wifes two cameras seemed to be on the fritz)
Last one on the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. Forgot my Damtour card, so had to go back for it making me late for the ferry.
First food pic - clam chowder on the ferry, my usual. Was better than it looks, but had to hurry as crossing seemed quick this time.
From Kingston, headed South on the Kitsap peninsula.
Beginning of Anderson Hill Rd toward Seabeck and Holly.
In Seabeck
Continued to Holly, then cut over to get on Hood Canal southshore where I could join 101 northbound.
Lake Cushman Dam wasn't far from there.
North on 101 to 104 East, crossing the Hood Canal bridge.
Last month we had a couple of nice days and I had taken a similar route (but unfortunately before Damtour started). I stayed north and went through Port Townsend and took the ferry to Whidbey Island then on through Deception Pass before getting back on I-5S home. These pics were of Port Townsend.
Current trip, back to Kingston-Edmonds ferry. Just missed the 3:10 which gave me a chance to get a crepes.
Ham and swiss with mushrooms, peppers, spinach and some other stuff I can't remember. Very tasty.
Ferry inbound - bike is ahead, far right. Time to get home.
