124ci S&S Harley-Davidson XL Sportster Drag Race/Street Motorcycle - $18000 (Westby, WI)Reply to: [email protected]

Thanks for taking the time to view my listing. What you see listed before you is truly a one-of-a-kind bike. This little rocket will easily make mince-meat out of anything you come across on the street, and will lay down mid-9 second quarter mile passes at the strip, thanks to the installed 4 3/8” bore 124ci custom S&S engine. On-board Front & Rear DTT WEGO units/O2-sensors with data acquisition make tuning this push-button start Sporty a breeze, while the air shifter makes hitting each and every gear quick and trouble-free! The entire project was documented, and includes title, build sheets, mileage log, tuning records, manuals, etc.

As you may have determined by the graphics and drivetrain, I work for the most well-known and respected American V-twin engine manufacturer in the world. As Product Development Engineer for S&S Cycle, Inc., it is my responsibility to develop high-performance parts and assemblies for the OE and Aftermarket industries; as well as test them on the street and track. With that said, this is my personal bike, which was used in the development of our 4 3/8” line of engines. As the photos clearly show, this motorcycle is absolutely immaculate (I am an extremely meticulous person). It doesn’t leak a drop of anything from anywhere. Any photo can hide blemishes, or cover up problems, but these photos truly do depict a flawless bike, one that when seen in person will clearly demonstrate the attention to detail put into this build.

The motorcycle is registered in WI and comes with a clean and clear title. It was originally purchased in 1999, as a rolling chassis (1993 model). After developing a test plan for a then-prototype 4 3/8” line of engines, the chassis was completely torn down. The frame was modified to accept the monster mill, and immediately powder-coated thereafter. The chassis was put back together with all new components (including bearings, bushings, seals, etc.) – and throughout the years, slowly modified and improved to create what you see before you. The engine was just completely rebuilt, and has less than 45 miles on it! Since the bike was first assembled, every mile, service point, etc. has been meticulously documented.

Little spendy, but compared to the BigDog SuperChopPenisMinor pseudo art crap out there, looks like it really could make some I4 guys wince.

Looks a bit too loud and high-maintenance for my taste. For the same money, I could drive off the lot with a brand new, warranteed V-Max.

YMMV, I'm pretty much function over form....

Pretty cool, not often you see a over square Harley.

Toe might be right about the money spent, might even get two for what has been spent on this.

But the V-Max hasn't the hart that has been put into this! This is bloody knuckles, one man's dream, and way cool farkles.

Has anyone documented a sub 10 sec fjr?
The only person that probably has a chance at that is the guy that installed NOS on his FJR. We need an update from him!

I'm still fighting for under 11 seconds

Not as long as you keep adding farkles (weight) to it.

Chop out some more airbox. That'll do it! :p

How much do those PAIR plates weigh as compared to the hoses and plugs? Too late to change your mind now!

:)

you sure couldn't build that bike for that price.

I don't think nitrous alone will get a FJR into the 9's. well maybe once and I wouldn't want to have the engine between my legs when it did.

The coolest thing about that HD is the quality of the build, components, and mission parameters. No chromey bling-everything is purpose built, any bling comes from the pure engineering beauty of the additions, not their shininess. No doubt it's probably loud, but those aren't pipes put on at the dealer for delivery on a stocker and only so it's not quieter than the others at the bar that night-again they're huge and made to flow a lot of gas, not blind the skanks at Big Al's Stand Up Saloon. Consider-would you comment about how loud a Corvette development car was, or marvel at the package? ;)

I would still prefer the VR1000 to this one. So you can turn at the end of the strip and be limited by what you drag. B)

I agree with Rad that it is nice to see a HD that is not all chromed out to pose with. ;)
