Al wasn't a forum member as near as I can tell, but he was an FJR rider and many of us...particularly in the LD and rally circle.....knew him.

Al died during the 2007 Land of Enchantment Rally and will be missed.

DAMN, that sucks. I had looked at the R.I.P. listing for Al when Iggy added that section. Seeing the damaged bike makes it more real, and personal.

Just wanted to add my condolences to the Ladner family. I met Al briefly during check-in for the LOE 1000. Very sad. Jeff Foster (LOE 1000 founder & co-Rallymaster) has taken it upon himself to see that the bike is either repaired or sold off to someone for parts. I've seen the bike and it is repairable. Of course all proceeds will go to Al's widow............R.I.P. Al
