I sold my 04 about a month ago and have been going through FJR withdrawl since. I picked up my 08 FJR from Woods county in New Braunfels 13,9 out the door. I love the bike and will be using it for off duty police funeral escorts. I am breaking her in only 200 miles so far. the guy at the dealrship sait just to vary the rpms. But does any body else have any advice on breaking her in? i tried search but did not work

Many different opinons on the break in process.

The *only* consensus is trailer the bike to my house, I'll break her in right for you...

oh, open up google, type in 'engine break in site:fjrforum.com' then enjoy the rest of the night.

Personally, I don't think it matters anymore.

Lago,

Break in on these FJRs is tough! In fact, it's probably the hardest of any bike I've owned. Reason being, I can't keep it off of 75 to 80 mph. This baby loves to run and I love to run it. I do drive it to work several times a week and run up and down the gears just to keep the RPM at different paces.

Have fun and enjoy it.

Keith

Ride it like it belongs to you and you respect its abilities.

You know like when you get a new horse.

See what she wants to do then take her where you know she wants to go.
