2019-09-25 Santa Barbara via Ciela Camino and the Pier

3 riders today. Barrie, Brian, Don.

101 south to a bunch of back roads. Don't recall them all. Pomeroy was one. See map at botton of RR.

It's amazing the amount of agriculture in the Santa Maria Valley area.

... and you can get anything you want at the Los Berros Restaurant. Well, at least Deli.

Good little riders have current registration tags..

Local high school.

Warm weather for the South County. 87F at 10:53.

Agri pics.

I don't know shit about veggies. No clue what these are..

..or these..

Even the hillsides are used for growing.

It's a pretty area to ride..

Old church on the hill.

...

Matties Tavern on 154.

CVie;op Camino overlooking Santa Barbara area.

It's a seriously tight 1st, 2nd, 1st gear road. A hooligan bike or dual sport would be FUNNER than a fully loaded FJR 1300.

Climbing the hill still.

...

Truly a fun road.

.

Since Senate Bill 1 passed, Road Work is EVERYWHERE!

Too foggy for good pics. Have yet to ride Camino on a clear day...

.

.

Brian Louw stretches his legs on the might GSA.

Gotta come back here on th a dual sport...

No clue... Any ideas anyone ?

Must be a water pipe line, grafittied up.

Brian L gets to go first!

One daty the fog will be clear. Barrie says you can see the Channel Islands from here on a clear day..

This RR is getting a bit too long.

.

Lots of drop offs. Watch your path of travel.

Damnit. Hd to put my AR-15 away. Sign Sign everywhere a sign, messing up the scenery, blowin my mind...

The best pic overlookingthe ocean?

Descending to million dollar homes.

The norm these days..

Beautiful area to live if you can afford it..

.

Riding along the oean now, headed to the pier.

Spent 3 days here once when I worked at Cal Poly SLO. Used to be Fess Parker's place. Not sure now.

Cool old building and grill.

On the pier saw this new MotoPort jacket. Gonna look into getting one.

Pier views.

.

.

Barrie the C.

The ocean breeze felt GREAT after riding through the 90 degree F weather..

Otis Redding ringing in my ears. Sitting by the Dock of the Bay...

Brian still is skinny. Gotta fatten that boy up!

Brian loves his new Android phone..Especally when after 15 unsucceful log in attempts it DELETES ALL DATA!

Barrie.

Pier shot.

Longboard Cafe.

Typical Tourist.

Cool old Bug.

.

.

Leaving the Pier.

MotoBikes park for free.

Check out the Seagull on top.

SAMBOS!

Headed home on 154 west.

Took a detour around Avila Beach Ca to see if any bikinis were around..

YEP! :)

Cool old XT Yamaha. Wish I had one.

Map to follow.

Good pics of a great group ride. Might have joined you if I hadn't left E. Ventura County 15 years ago, but at that time I was heavy into bicycling and most likely would have been riding tail with that chick. :)

Fixed it for Yah!

Goddam click-bait!

Had to go through all those pictures (and some ugly individuals) to get to the promised hot chick!

Seriously, looks like a beautiful ride and you got some great photos.

Damn!

Ok, maybe I can convince my local buddies to join me in 2020 on my next sojourn back into Cali.

Thanks for enabling my fantasies Mr. Carver.

nice pics...long way to go for the chick tho
