Short report about Consumer Reports on Most Reliable Motorcycle posted over at Hell for Leather.

Of course, Yamaha and other Japanese bikes did fairly well.

I'm not into bashing BMW (really Don!), but surprised they placed below HD. The article also mentions those owners would still buy the bike again.

Fortunately for Yamaha, the survey only covered ownership over four years, so the '07 models weren't included.

Hopefully the train will stay on the tracks in this thread about motorcycle quality.

I believe some of this has to do with technology. Europeans tend to push it further to the bleeding edge where asians are more conservative. And Harley, I don't think they care much one way or another as long as it can be chrome plated.

Some of it's mileage too. Some brands include models that more often end up as driveway jewelry rather than being ridden 30k+ miles a year.

Wasn't there already a thread about this elsewhere? Yes! It was.

I suggest everyone understand what lead to that thread being locked, what was already covered, and do neither of those in this thread.

Oh, and this one is still active:

So let's just consolidate discussions over there. M'kay?

[Gee... that dastardly SEARCH strikes again. :) ]
